2020-01-14 15:52:48

label: CentOS, Elasticsearch, CentOS7, Elasticsearch7.3, Install Elasticsearch, the official Elasticsearch

Edit the /etc/yum.repos.d/elasticsearch.repo file as follows:

name=Elasticsearch repository for 7.x packages

After the YUM installation, set the boot operation and start the service.

yum -y install elasticsearch

systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl enable elasticsearch
systemctl start elasticsearch

Modify the configuration file /etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yml

Add an authorization-enabled configuration below the #secruity line, save and exit

http.port: 9200

cluster.initial_master_nodes: ["node-1"]

Restart elasticsearch and you can use the client to connect remotely.

[root@localhost ~]# systemctl restart elasticsearch

[root@localhost ~]# curl
  "name" : "carbon",
  "cluster_name" : "elasticsearch",
  "cluster_uuid" : "RmfeiseHQ8C5S9eF7gG6aQ",
  "version" : {
    "number" : "7.3.0",
    "build_flavor" : "default",
    "build_type" : "rpm",
    "build_hash" : "de777fa",
    "build_date" : "2019-07-24T18:30:11.767338Z",
    "build_snapshot" : false,
    "lucene_version" : "8.1.0",
    "minimum_wire_compatibility_version" : "6.8.0",
    "minimum_index_compatibility_version" : "6.0.0-beta1"
  "tagline" : "You Know, for Search"
[root@carbon ~]#

Problem: After setting up authorization verification, the user and password are also established, but the client cannot connect.

Solution: Stop the firewall
systemctl stop firewalld
systemctl stop iptables

Question: Prompt when accessing ElasticSearch: Elasticsearch cluster 'master_not_discovered_exception'

Solution: This problem was encountered when installing Elasticsearch 7.5 in CentOS8. The reason is that nodes cannot discover each other. If there is only one node, you can modify the configuration file and set the node name to node-1.

It is recommended to set the field cache size to 50% of the actual memory.
vim /etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yml

node.name: node-1

indices.fielddata.cache.size: 2gb
